I had the pleasure of catching up with the sweet gals from Our Narratives a few months back when I was in NYC. Sara and Caroline are mamas in the big apple and they launched a blogazine that provides a daily dose of momspiration. Sara – Rag and Bone – It’s comfortable but still has edge.
Caroline – Comptoir des Cotonniers – It’s classic and contemporary all at once.

Sara – Thrive Market – It’s my go-to source for hard-to-find organic snacks and other grocery items.
Caroline – 1stdibs.com – I love its amazing mix of furniture and objet d’art.

Sara – The Skimm – it’s a daily breakdown of current events. It keeps me clued in.
Caroline – AirBnB for travel. I love its platform, dreaming about new adventures and tagging homes I want to pretend I live in for a weekend.
Favorite beauty products
Sara – My W3ll People concealer stick. It is safe and actually works! I love their line of concealers and powders.
Caroline – I’ve had good experiences with all of Beauty Counter’s products. I love that they are all natural.
Fitness activity
Sara – I just started CrossFit and drag my husband along on the weekends. I also love the classes at SLT Pilates.
Caroline – I run in Central Park with Freddie in the mornings. I try to do a barre class on the weekends.
Family vacation spot
Sara – Martha’s Vineyard, I really appreciate the anything-goes vibe.
Caroline – Toss-up between our families’ holiday spots in northern Minnesota and the south of France!
Family activity
Sara – My husband enjoys cooking and gets Lex and me involved. Lex has a chef hat and step ladder to reach the countertop. Right now they are growing their own sprouts and making homemade yogurt.
Caroline – Nature walks – both urban and rural.
Favorite kids brand
Sara – Maybe because it’s fall but I have the urge to buy every print of Hanna Andersson pajamas for Lex. They are so comfy.
Caroline – My go-to for classic boy’s clothing is Petit Bateau (can’t get enough of their stripes). I like to pair it with staples like Zara.
Favorite “me-time” moment
Sara – Lunch with friends – usually involving a glass of wine.
Caroline – Saturday morning coffee with the NY Times (hard copy… digital version just isn’t the same).
Favorite family meal
Sara – My husband makes the best French Onion Soup.
Caroline – I do most of the cooking so if I ask my husband he’d say his favorite weeknight dinner is West African Peanut Soup (featured in the NY Times years back)
