- Indulge in some local late season produce at The Brickworks Farmer’s Market on a Saturday and let your kids roam The Children’s Garden.
- Buy Halloween costumes.
- Venture out to Prince Edward County for their annual Pumpkin Festival.
- Treat yourself to a new outfit from the new COS store on Bloor Street (finally in Toronto!).
- Go see the Fall colours at your favourite urban park (I’m a sucker for Trinity Bellwoods and High Park).
- Refresh your makeup bag at Sephora or Holt Renfrew.
- Visit a Naturopath to get on top of your health and wellness for the winter. Check out Innate Wellness.
- Get your Thanksgiving menu squared away.
- Plan your winter getaway.
- Attend the Night Of Dead Parade at Dufferin Grove Park (Saturday October 24 4-8pm).
- Go through your children’s winter gear and see what they need for the season ahead. I was late on this last year and the pickings were SLIM.
- Ride your bike (it’s going to get icy before we know it).
- Visit your favourite book store and find yourself a few good reads.
- Snuggle up with a cup of tea from The Detox Market.
- Dig out your crockpot and cook some chilli.
- Make mulled wine and have your girlfriends over to enjoy it.
- Book a date night and try the tasting menu at Alo.
- Carve a pumpkin.
- Go to your local florist for a fall arrangement or head down to Crown Flora and let the guys there knock your socks off with their fresh flowers and terraniums.
- Visit a neighbourhood you don’t usually venture to. It can feel like a mini holiday.
- Watch It’s The Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown with popcorn and the whole family.
- Light a pumpkin spiced candle in the house.
- Roam through Kensington Market for the last Pedestrian Sunday (October 25).
- Look through all the photos you snapped this year and start developing a few of your favourites (old school).
- Toast your pumpkin seeds
- Let the girls at Gee Beauty take care of your skin … book a facial.
- Use the fallen leaves to do a craft with your little ones
