A Little About Me
I’m Alison, a Toronto-based movement and sound facilitator, retreat host, and property host in Prince Edward County. I’m also a mother to Hudson and Owen, and someone deeply shaped by creativity, movement, and community.
My path began in the arts. I trained and performed as a dancer for over twenty years with companies across North America, and later founded and ran two contemporary art spaces, The Village Gallery and Art Beyond Walls, from 2003 to 2013. Those years taught me how to hold space, build community, and lead with both vision and care.
In 2014, A Goodwin Life began as an online space to share lifestyle, creativity, and the early years of motherhood. Over time, it has evolved alongside me. Today, it reflects a broader, more embodied practice rooted in movement, sound, retreat experiences, intentional living, and hospitality.
I now facilitate movement classes and sound journeys in Toronto, host intimate retreats, and welcome guests to The County Beach House in Prince Edward County. I also collaborate with wellness, lifestyle, and design brands through thoughtful partnerships grounded in real use, shared values, and storytelling.
A Goodwin Life is an extension of how I live and work, curious, grounded, and connection-led.
